A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I flew up to Spokane, Washington for a friend's daughter who was getting married.
The wedding and reception took place at The Davenport Hotel, built in 1917, which obviously continued to be cared for and well-maintained all these years later.
It is a beautiful hotel.
This magnificent venue of a vintage hotel, a beautiful Washington backdrop, in downtown Spokane, well, we were not disappointed. How could we be?
There was a gorgeous ceremony, not too long and not too short. We were whisked away into the Doges room for cocktail hour (yes, it looked just like Italy) with its impressive ceilings. Then onto dinner in the banquet hall which was grand and romantic.
The bride was stunning, by the way. Just beautiful.
We were so blessed to go and make that weekend getaway one of the most memorable times we've ever had.
Thank you, Davenport Hotel, and to our wonderful friends who let us celebrate with their daughter on her most special day.

Got this dress from Amazon! It was form-fitting and stretchy. Perfect for an evening of eating, drinking, and dancing. One of the most comfortable and formal dresses I've ever worn. |
