We have to shop, we have to look for vintage goodness, we have to try on vintage clothing, and we have to incorporate vintage items into our homes. I mean, someone has to, right?
Whew.
In case you couldn't tell, I was being satirical.
It's no more hard work to be a vintage seller than it is to drink coffee.
Both are pleasurable. And both, as it goes with vintage lovers, are something we want in our lives, constantly.
Take vintage blankets. I love them. I particularly love Pendleton blankets and had amassed something like a dozen of them before I realized, I don't need to collect everything I love. (Dang!) I don't have the room for it.
But, I sure can sell them.
And I love ALL the vintage blankets from Troy Mills, Faribault, Pendleton, and the like.
The quality, patterns, materials... nothing about new blankest compares to the old ones. Even the acrylic was better back then, or rather, a better quality of acrylic was used than today.
Now that Autumn is approaching, it's time to start thinking about blankets.
I just listed a beautiful thick acrylic stadium/picnic blanket made by Troy Mills out of New Hampshire. This company began by making horse blankets and moved into blankets for everyone (not just the four-footed kind.) What a great history.
I love plaid and this one is a red and black pattern, which is a bit more unusual.
She's in the shop waiting to keep you warm this fall and winter.
